In UK, according to the just revealed Tori plans, the unemployed will be forced to do menial jobs such as picking up litter and cleaning graffiti in exchange for dole cash.

I'm not sure though if it's a creative solution or the Tori copy someone else's idea or practice.

Yes, they copy the US-style ­workfare system where benefits money has to be earned by carrying out demeaning tasks.

No, they copy the practice of my just-unemployed neighbour's wife. Now, when he became unemployed, she foces him to vacuum clean the house and wash dishes.
